Candy Crush Saga founder Tommy Palm told us that he will release big news on King’s cooperation plan in China in 4-6 weeks.
VoiceofGame reported in Stockholm, Sweden that GMGC CEO delegation visited King's global headquarters in Stockholm this morning, and had indepth discussion with Candy Crush Saga founder Tommy.
During the meeting, Tommy King told us that he will release big news on King’s cooperation plan in China in 4-6 weeks. King will officially launch its business in China and the Asia-Pacific region at large, and promote the three Saga games with the help of local channels and operators.
Lars, vice president of the company, also said that King hopes to find partners with cross-platform capabilities (including mobile phone, PC, tablet PCs, etc.) in China.
King employs 450 employees worldwide, including 200 people in the Stockholm headquarter, nearly 50 people in Malmo, and the rest are scattered in London, Barcelona and other cities.
Tommy told us that King has 100 million active users. He did not tell us the daily revenue but according to media report, its daily income is nearly one million dollars.
GMGC Secretary General David Song presented a formal invitation to Tommy for a presentation at GMGC2014, sharing his experience on game development with Chinese counterparts.
GMGC is also planning to invite him to an internal gathering of GMGC members in mid-September.
